A Little More LOST

Miles Straume, Richard Alpert, Michael Dawson, Jacob

Well now that LOST is coming down the home stretch, I wanted to get a few more of my favorite LOST characters out there. Through the shows' run to this point, each of these guys have become rather endearing characters to me in different ways.

The big question now is - how will the whole thing end up? What's going to be the 'destiny' of all the characters and will they get what they've been wanting? Who else will die? Will we get a detailed, 'tied-up-nicely' finale, or something more layered and open to interpretation?

Well, we won't have to wait too long to find out...

The Losties Wallpaper

A cool guy named Adam Reynolds used the Lost Punx and put together an awesome Lost wallpaper that I'd like to share with y'all. I was especially impressed with the Simpsons house 'ruins' he added in there.

Anyway, enjoy!

P.S. More new posts coming for SP this next week!

Big version;

Even bigger version here.

LOST week 2; Day 7

Sayid Jarrah

Sayid is one guy I would not like to meet in a dark alley. Or a well-lit alley for that matter. This man is the MacGyver of Pain.

The actor Naveen Andrews does a great job of making him an imposing force, albeit the strong-silent type. I can't wait to see what revelations await regarding Sayid in the upcoming season.

...And that's all for Lost Week 2! Thanks for sticking with me folks!
I'll catch you next time!

LOST week 2; Day 6

Daniel Faraday

Faraday is another one of those Lost characters that just keeps you enthralled. He's not a big fighter or skilled killer, but the things he says just keep you guessing. Jeremy Davies does an amazing job with the role.

I imagine he'd be able to hold a long, spirited debate with Doc Brown (from Back to the Future). I'd pay to see that.

LOST week 2; Day 5

Desmond Hume

Desmond is my constant. Brotha.

Every time Desmond on the screen, my eyes are glued. He's mysterious but very likeable, and his love for Penny is inspiring. I really hope the character finds lasting happiness.

Henry Ian Cusick does a fantastic job with the role, but it really threw me for a loop when I saw him on the show initially. I had previously only seen Cusick as Jesus in the really powerful "
The Visual Bible: The Gospel of John", but there he was again, long hair, beard and all. It took a while to get used to :)

LOST week 2; Day 4

Claire Littleton

So is Claire dead? Or Is she really still alive? Will we see more of her son Aaron?

Will we hear Claire say the name "Cha-lee" one more time?

LOST week 2; Day 3

Sun-Hwa Kwon

Sun is another character that I hope continues to play a big part in the show. She appears delicate on the surface, but she really is quite cunning with a mean streak when you get on her bad side. I think the actress Yunjin Kim does a great job in the role.

LOST week 2; Day 2

Jin-Soo Kwon

Jin is really a likeable guy to me. I love the way he smiles. He seems very protective of Sun, which is admirable, I just hope it doesn't get him into too much trouble. His english is really coming along nicely too.

I wouldn't mind Jin playing an even bigger role in this upcoming season, I think there's a lot left that the character can offer. I think he'd kick butt if you really let him loose.

LOST week 2; Day 1

Juliet Burke
Hey all, Springfield Punx is back with Lost Week 2!

First up is Dr. Juliet Burke. I guess her status on the show is as 'up in the air' as everything else considering that last season finale. There's also the fact that the actress Elizabeth Mitchell looks to be starring in ABC's "V" as well, so I'm not sure how much more we'll see of her.

At any rate, Juliet really seems to have brought out the 'softer' side of Sawyer, quite the feat if you ask me. Elizabeth Mitchell did a great job injecting (doctor pun) life and intelligence into Juliet, and there's still more about her past and connections to Ben Linus that I'd like to know.

And as a bonus, I gave in and threw together the requested 'shirtless' Sawyer in all his yellow glory, to go with Juliet. And before anyone starts - No, don't bother asking for shirtless versions of the ladies, this ain't that kind of party :)
If you'd like, you can see the first Lost Week Punx here.

Stay tuned for Day 2 tomorrow!

LOST week; Day 7

Jack Shephard

Do you think it means anything that Jack is sort of the leader of the survivors and his last name is 'Shephard' (like shepherd)?

Anyway, I hope he can work out his issues with his apparently-dead-but-appearing-on-the-Island dad. And figure out that Kate thing one way or the other too, but hey, after this last season finale, who knows what's gonna happen?!

...and that's day 7 of Lost week. Thank you guys so much for visiting! I know there are some who want Lost week to keep going, but this blog is a side project I do for fun so if I don't take breaks from it now and then it doesn't become fun anymore. I do want to do more Lost guys (I'm a big Desmond fan... Faraday too) so you should probably expect to see some more in the future.

Thanks again, catch you later!

LOST week; Day 6

James "Sawyer" Ford

Heheh, Sawyer is awesome. I just love the nicknames he gives people...Tarzan...Blondie...Pippi Longstockings...Kenny Rogers...Freckles...

Check out the list if you want, it's pretty funny :)

Over the course of the show, we've seen the 'softer side' of the gruff con-man come out. His time as 'LaFleur' has been very enjoyable to watch.

Update - Okay, to those of you who like your Sawyer a bit happier...

LOST week; Day 5

Kate Austen

Kate seems to have a lot of sway with the men on the Island. In a sort of reverse gendered 'Archie' situation, she's torn between the 'good guy hero doctor' and the 'follows-his-own-way bad boy'. It's tough to guess what will happen after the season finale we just saw, but hopefully the guys won't kill eachother over Kate when it's all said and done.

Plus, Kate's extra cool because she's played by fellow Canadian (and fellow Albertan) Evangeline Lilly.

LOST week; Day 4

John Locke

Definately one of my favorite characters on LOST, Locke just seems to have this 'guess what I'm thinking' thing going on all the time, not to mention his flirts with madness here and there.

After this recent season finale though, I'm not sure what's going on with Locke, will we ever see the real Locke again?

Update - Alrighty, here's the 'orange peel' version of Locke -

LOST week; Day 3

Benjamin Linus

Here's Ben Linus, the shifty former leader of the 'Others'. He's expertly portrayed by Michael Emerson who makes you believe that Ben could suddenly stab you in the back at any moment, despite his generally non-imposing appearance.

I always find myself looking into his unmistakable eyes and listening intently to everything he says, always looking for double meanings, trying to figure out Ben's true intentions.

At any rate, it's pretty clear that Ben can take a punch. That guy repeatedly takes a licking and just keeps on ticking...

Update: Okay, after getting the suggestion, I tried my hand at beating up Ben myself and I gotta say, it feels kinda good ;)

LOST week; Day 2

Charlie Pace

Ok, If you're just watching LOST season 3 for the first time on dvd or re-runs or something, stop reading now.

Well, we don't see much of Charlie (or "Chaaalay" as Claire would say) on the show these days except for his occasional posthumous conversation with Hurley. What's up with that, by the way? At any rate, I really like how his character has progressed and grown, and I think Charlie has probably had the greatest death in the show thus far. If I had to go out, I'd hope it was some way like that.

Anyway, I doubt Hurley is done with the 'visions', so I'm betting we'll see more of Charlie.

Update: As per some some suggestions, here's another variation of Charlie -

LOST week; Day 1

Hurley

Hey all! If you ask me, Lost is one of the best shows ever to grace the small screen. I'm pulled in as much as ever right now, but I guess it'll be a very long wait till we see the story continue next February.

At any rate, to celebrate the show will be a new LOST character each day this week, starting today with the ever-lovable Hurley.

I get a kick out of the way he calls people 'dude', and his hoarding of Dharma food :) And I'm still wondering how he's seeing people that are dead. And what will ultimately become of all his lottery money?

What a show :)

See ya tomorrow!!
